Einstein & Tesla on the Electric Car

← All debates · Talk to Caleb

EINSTEIN vs TESLA go head to head — and every jab is rooted in real history.

EINSTEIN

Well, Nikola. Your name has become synonymous with something you never quite achieved in your lifetime. These vehicles, clever, yes. Motion without combustion. But the wireless transmission of energy across distances? That was your dream. And instead, they've named a car after you.

TESLA

At least they remembered my name, Einstein. I spent my life trying to give free energy to the world, and they buried me in debt. Now they slap my name on a luxury vehicle that you plug in like a toaster. If I'd seen that coming, maybe I wouldn't have died in a hotel room with nine cents to my name.

EINSTEIN

The irony is delicious, really. Your vision was liberation through wireless power. Their vision? A phone on wheels that needs a charging station every few hundred miles.
